“Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.”
— Henry David Thoreau
We all want success and although the definition of success may vary from person to person, there are ten common habits successful people have.
- Waking up early
We have all heard the saying “early bird gets the worm”, which is probably why its not surprising to hear that most successful people tend to wake up early. Recently Mark Walburg said he wakes up at 4.30 everyday, Richard Branson wakes up at 5 every morning, Apple CEO Tim Cook starts his mornings at 3:45 a.m., and Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama to rise at the crack of dawn. This allows you to take full advantage of the day and to start the day with less stress and more clarity.
2. Reading a Lot
Reading regularly helps the brain’s ability to focus and critically think. Oprah is know for regularly reading and always promoted a new book constantly on her show. Elon Musk was said to read 10 hours each day before growing up to become Tesla CEO. Bill Gates also advocates reading and is said to read a new book every week.
3. Health is Wealth
When you are doing what you love and you have so many responsiblities and people counting on you, you want to make you can keep. You don’t want to feel sluggish or suffer illness that could be prevented by a healthy diet. Health is necessary to sustain that wealth.
4. Visualise your goals
In order to be successful you need clarity. how are you ever going to achieve and succeed if you don’t even know what you want to succeed in. Understanding your passions and goals will allow you to chase them with no hesitations.
5. Flexibility/ Keeping up with the times
The world is always changing and evolving. To put in perspective Apartheid only ended less that 25 years ago! Technology keeps changing and so is the market. So the ability to keep flexible and be able to adapt your knowledge with the times is necessary.
Until Next time,
And these are all practical things too.. i try to wake up early, its just, when you dont get to sleep at night early, then waking up becomes a but difficult

I know I picked small things that were possible and reasonable to integrate in your daily routine.
The key is consistency and having a routine. Waking up early is hard if your life won’t allow it but even waking up an doing your bed sets you up for success later on.
